Choose Your Fate Carefully
The hierarchy of existence in BLOCKLORDS divides into four parts: Farmer, Knight or Raider, Lord or Lady, and King or Queen. All players start as farmers and shape their futures based on their in-game actions. For every action, there is an in-game reaction. Work diligently on the farm and reap the rewards of a prosperous yet provincial life, or use your resources and cunning to ascend to positions of power.
Be warned — you can’t have it all. Every one of your choices opens a new door but closes one behind you. If you become knighted, you no longer have your farm. Your duties reside solely on the battlefield now.
What kind of existence will you create for your hero?
- Farmers upgrade to Knights or Raiders by building an army.
- Lords pay knights to defend the lands.
- Raiders conquer cities.
- Three or more Lords/Ladies choose one of their own to become King/Queen.
Create a Legacy
All heroes must eventually meet their end. The lifespan of your hero is contingent upon a variety of factors. Your hero may die a warrior’s death on the battlefield or simply reach their natural end after a long and prosperous life. Who will carry on your legacy? Or will it die with you?
The Dynasty mechanic allows your hero to live on through future generations, handing down traits and skills to their descendants. If your hero dies without an heir, all characteristics and inheritance will vanish — so if legacy through immortality is what you seek, make sure to prioritize planting a solid family tree.
